Wisdom teeth, on the brightside

A board-certified oral surgeon. Transparent pricing from your pano scan. Post-op care that doesn't end the moment you leave the chair.

Why an oral surgeon?
  • IV Sedation in Office
  • Recovery Handled In-House
  • Quotes Within 1 Business Day
Panoramic dental X-ray showing wisdom teeth

Most offices won't quote you a price until you're in the chair.

We will. Send your panoramic X-ray—from your dentist, an imaging center, or our office—and within one business day you'll have a written, itemized estimate. Extraction, sedation, follow-ups, every line accounted for.

No surprise add-ons on procedure day. The number you sign for is the number you saw last week.

Many general dentists pull teeth. A board-eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon trains for years in a hospital surgical residency to handle the cases dentists refer out—impacted wisdom teeth, IV anesthesia, jaw and facial procedures. Same chair. Same surgeon. Every time.

General Dentist

When your dentist is the right fit

  • Fully erupted teeth with straightforward roots
  • Local anesthesia is sufficient and comfortable for the patient
  • No bleeding disorders, anticoagulants, or significant medical complexity
  • Routine extractions you can fold into a regular visit
  • An established relationship with someone who already knows your mouth

Most extractions don't need a specialist. Continuity of care matters when the case fits their scope or complications arise.

  1. Step 01

    Send your pano

Upload from anywhere—a phone photo of the printout works. We respond within one business day with an itemized estimate.

  2. Step 02

    Walk through your quote

Phone or in-person consult. Every line itemized: extraction, sedation, follow-ups. We answer the awkward questions before procedure day.

  3. Step 03

    Procedure day

IV sedation on-site. The procedure is performed by your surgeon—start to finish—typically in under an hour.

  4. Step 04

    Recover with us

Same surgeon, same office for every check-in. A direct line for the first week — because most questions can't wait until business hours.

How much does wisdom tooth removal cost?

It depends on how many teeth, the level of impaction, and the type of sedation. Range for all four wisdom teeth with IV sedation in our area is typically $1,400 – $2,800 out of pocket, often less with insurance. We won't make you guess—send a pano, or come in for a scan, and we'll send a real number.

Will I be asleep for it?

For all four wisdom teeth, almost always yes. We use IV sedation administered in-office by the same surgeon doing the procedure—you'll fall asleep, wake up done, and remember none of it. Local anesthesia or oral sedation are options for simpler single extractions.

When can my teen get their wisdom teeth out?

Late high school through college is common—once roots are partly formed but before they fully anchor into the jaw, recovery tends to be easier. We'll review the pano and tell you whether it's the right window or worth waiting another year.

How long is the recovery?

Most patients are back to school or desk work in 3–5 days. Soft food for about a week, no straws, no athletic activity for 7–10 days. We schedule a check-in around day 7 and stay on call through full healing.

Do you take insurance?

Yes—most major dental and medical plans. We'll verify benefits before procedure day and apply them to your written estimate, so the out-of-pocket number you see is the number you'll pay.

What if I don't have a pano scan yet?

Not a problem. We can take one in our office during a brief consult, or you can request a copy from your general dentist—most will email it within a day. The free quote includes the pano if we take it ourselves.
